SimpleWorks began as a result of the founder’s pursuit to learning how to succeed in the his own businesses. through advisors, coaches, endless books and seminars.  Robert loved making a difference the lives of others and brought his love of strategy and desire to make an impact to the business community.  Robert sat down to consult his first business owner in October 2006 over a cup of coffee.  His vision has evolved into a team of advisers who share a passion for culture, financial and process improvements that significantly improve not only the profitability of the organization but provide a higher quality of life to the owner and his team. 

At the core SimpleWorks exists to serve business owners and their teams with simple accountable strategies to support the owner in maximizing business value and provides financial freedom. This ultimately allows the owner to reap the rewards in their business, whether selling the business or transitioning into semi-retirement giving daily responsibilities to established management team.  This can include succession planning to employees or family members.

Robert Upton

Robert Upton is the founder of SimpleWorks Business Advisors.  He is passionate about making an impact in both businesses and nonprofits, as well as the community in the greater San Antonio Area.  He has owned 3 small businesses and has a management and sales background in a wide range of fields including in real estate, B2B service companies, and nonprofit.  After moving to San Antonio in 2013, he began consulting full time and has consulted 200 businesses and executives in the greater San Antonio area across a wide variety of industries and nonprofits.

Robert is a natural teacher and often speaks and presents on a wide range of business topics. Robert has been married to his wonderful wife Jenny since 1999, and they have ten amazing children. He is passionate about family and understands the impact small business can make for future generations.
